Reasons for the success of the Japanese and the defeat of the british.

Japanese had a large and modern fleet of battleships which are supported by modern fighter planes such as the 'Zero' fighter planes.

The british did not have a large strong fleet of warships. The only sent the ships Prince of whales and Repulse which were bombed by the Japanese. The air bases were not equipped with fighter planes. The plane used were old and outdated that have no match for the Japanese planes.
